I’m attorney Valerie L. Moore. For the past seven years I’ve been working in the field of family law, helping families care for themselves, their children, and their elders with a wide range of legal services, including:

I strive to empower my clients to reach resolution on their own behalf, without resorting to a judge who will impose something upon them that will be unsatisfying. With negotiations, collaborative law and mediation in my arsenal, I can offer clients a variety of tools as they seek solutions that work for them.

When you hire me as your divorce lawyer, my job is to prepare you for court or for mediation or the collaborative law process. When I work in the role of mediator, I am hired as a neutral third party to help both parties — I do not represent one person or the other.

Collaborative law in divorce is new to Kansas and few attorneys have begun using it. I’m pleased to be one of the first in our state to offer this option to clients. An Experienced Leader in the Legal Community

I am very active in both the state and national bar associations. I am the coordinator of continuing legal education for the Kansas State Bar, Family Law Section President for the Kansas Bar Association, and I give presentations to lawyers. I serve as vice chair of the young lawyers division of the American Bar Association family law section. I also serve on the ethics committee of the family law section.

I am active in the community and serve as a speaker and advocate for SafeHome.
